 Calculations For Water Volume for Swimming Pool
Use These Charts To Calculate Your Pool's Water Volume So you Know How Much Bulk Water Delivery To Order
To figure out the correct amounts of chemicals for your pool, you need to calculate how many gallons of water it holds. You need to know 4 different things. The length, width, average depth, and a multiplier that will determine gallons.
The Formula
Length♦ Width ♦ Average Depth ♦ Multiplier = Gallons
Determine the Multiplier:
Rectangle, square, or non-conforming pool: multiplier = 7.5.
Round or Oval pool: multiplier = 5.9
How To Figure the Average Depth Of Your Pool:
To Figure the average depth in a pool when the bottom decends, measure the shallow end, the deep end depth. Add them together and divide by 2.
Example: Shallow End = 3'. Deep End = 9'
3' + 9' = 12'; 12/2 = 6' Average Depth
